If you’re tapping and the screen isn’t responding — especially on tasks that say “Tap Anywhere on the Screen” — here’s what’s likely happening and how to fix it.
Touchscreens respond best to the flat pad of your fingertip. If you’re tapping with your nail or just the edge of your finger, the screen may not detect the input — even though it feels like it should.
This is a common issue, especially during fast-paced tasks when users tap quickly or lightly without realizing how they’re tapping.
How to Fix It
Tap with the flat part of your fingertip, not your nail
Press a little more firmly if needed
Avoid light or angled taps
Make sure your screen is clean and dry
