Average session intensity is calculated by adding together the intensity of every drill and dividing by the total number of drills. This includes pre-session and post-session assessments.
Average intensity = total drill intensity ÷ number of drills
Each drill contributes equally, regardless of its duration. The result is rounded to the nearest whole percentage.
Why does removing an assessment increase the average?
Lower-intensity assessments bring the session average down. Removing them increases the average, even when the remaining drills stay the same.
For example, with three drills set to 100% and assessments contributing 30% each:

When does the percentage change?
The average updates when you:
Add or remove a drill or assessment.
Change a drill’s intensity.
An average of 100% means every included drill is set to 100% intensity.
