Monitor an Individual's Decision-Making Behavior

Updated over a week ago

To monitor an individual's decision-making behavior, apply the EDM (Error Detection Mode) to tasks via the plan builder. This mode is specifically designed to enhance error detection and track individuals' responses to incorrect answers.

EDM Analysis with Soma Analytics

Analyze the data by comparing the primary task's reaction time to the EDM reaction time, which you can find in the tooltip. EDM mode calculates the time it takes for an individual to correctly respond after making an error. This 'EDM reaction time' offers insights into their cognitive decision-making process.

Strategic Error Correction: If the EDM reaction time is longer than the primary task reaction time, it might indicate that the individual is deliberately being more cautious, aiming to avoid repeating the same error.

Progress Indication: As individuals get better at recognizing and correcting their mistakes, the gap between their standard reaction times and EDM reaction times should narrow. A shrinking difference is a sign of faster recovery and response after errors.
