What is THIS WAY UP?

THIS WAY UP is a not-for-profit and joint initiative of St Vincent’s Hospital and the University of New South Wales, whose mission is to provide accessible online treatment for anxiety disorders and related mental health conditions. Funded by the Australian Government Department of Heath and Ageing, it is a trusted Australian provider of evidence-based, internet-delivered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (iCBT) programs.

How does it work?

THIS WAY UP's online platform offers a suite of treatment programs that support people to improve their wellbeing. The programs provide you with clinically-proven strategies to help improve the way you think and feel, with treatments developed to tackle specific mental health concerns including:

  • Depression

  • Generalised, Social or Health Anxiety

  • Teen Worry and Sadness

  • Perinatal Anxiety and Depression

  • Insomnia

  • Stress

  • OCD

  • Post-traumatic stress

How do I get access?

Simply start a chat in the Sonder app, so we can understand a little more about your experiences and how you've been feeling recently. Our caring support team can then recommend the program that is most appropriate for you, at no cost. 80% of people who complete a program report a significant reduction in their symptoms. 50% report that they no longer require further treatment.
