Switching Methods
To switch from SMS to an authenticator app (or vice versa):
Click your avatar (top right) → Account Settings → Profile → Security
Select Manage Two-Factor Authentication
Choose a new primary method
Verify the new method
Updating Your Phone Number
If using SMS:
Update your phone number in the Profile → Security tab
Verify the new number before it becomes active
Regenerating Recovery Codes
You can generate new recovery codes at any time.
⚠️ Old codes will be invalidated.
Temporarily Disabling 2FA
If allowed, disabling 2FA requires:
Your password
A valid 2FA code or recovery code
