Changing a Property Billing Address

If you have Xero or QuickBooks Online integration enabled, you can select or create a billing contact that is different from the service contact. This is useful in cases where you service a property with a tenant (i.e. service contact) and a landlord or property manager (i.e. billing contact). When creating invoices for this this property, the billing contact is used.

By default, the billing contact for a property is the same as the service contact.

To change the billing contact for a property:

  1. Go to the property and click edit in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

  2. Select a different billing contact in the "Billing contact" dropdown or click the Add New link to create a new billing contact.

Note: You currently can't add a billing address when creating a contact in SortScape. If you need to add an address to a new billing contact you have to create the billing contact in Xero or QuickBooks first and then wait for it to sync to SortScape. For Xero it usually syncs within a minute, for QuickBooks it can take up to 30 mins or you can do a manual sync. Once it's synced to SortScape you can select the new contact from the drop down as usual.
