What’s SpacePal’s Cancellation and Refund Policy?

We know plans can change — that’s why at SpacePal we aim for a fair balance between flexibility for guests and predictability for hosts.

📅 Full Refund Cancellation

If you need to cancel your reservation, you can do so up to 5 days before the start time (check-in) to receive a full refund, including service fees.

Important: The deadline is calculated based on the exact start time shown in your reservation.


🚫 Cancellations Within 5 Days

If there are fewer than 5 days left before the booking starts, the reservation is non-refundable, unless the host agrees to make an exception.

In these cases, we recommend messaging the host directly via the reservation chat. Some are flexible and might offer alternatives.


✅ Want to change the date or time?

You don’t need to cancel if you just want to reschedule. On SpacePal, you can modify your reservation as long as both parties agree.

How to do it:

  1. Log in to your SpacePal account.

  2. Go to the ‘Messages’ or ‘Reservations’ section.

  3. Open your active reservation.

  4. Click ‘Modify reservation’ and suggest new details (date, time, duration, etc.).

The change will only take effect once the other party accepts it.


🧼 What about the cleaning fee?

If you cancel and didn’t use the space, the cleaning fee will always be refunded, regardless of the host’s cancellation policy.

In many cases, clear communication can help avoid confusion or even unlock refunds outside the default policy. Use the SpacePal chat to explain your situation — most hosts appreciate transparency.
