Tax Free eligibility in Spain is based on where you normally live, not your nationality.
If your passport or Travel ID does not show your place of residence, you may be asked to provide additional proof that you normally live outside the EU.
This could be a residence permit or another official document that confirms your place of residence.
When shopping Tax Free, always bring your original passport or Travel ID. If additional proof of residence is required, the store staff will let you know.
Good to know: Having an EU passport does not automatically mean you are not eligible for Tax Free. If you normally live outside the EU, you may still be eligible.
