In 99% of cases, this issue occurs when the client logs in using an email address other than the one originally used. Or the client initially logged in via Apple Private Relay Email.
If you signed up for SparkReceipt using “Sign in with Apple”, Apple may have created a private relay email address for your account. This email looks something like:
randomstring@privaterelay.appleid.com
This is completely normal—Apple uses these email aliases to protect your privacy. However, if you’re trying to:
Cancel your subscription
Delete your account
Or make changes to your account settings
We need to confirm the email address that’s connected to your SparkReceipt account — and that might be the private relay address, not your personal email.
📧 How to Find Your Private Relay Email Address
Option 1: Check a SparkReceipt Welcome Email
Open the inbox of the email account you use with Apple.
Search for our onboarding email with the subject line:
“1/4 Welcome! Here’s important information to get started with SparkReceipt”Open that email and look at the “To:” address near the top.
You should see something like:
abcd1234@privaterelay.appleid.com
That’s the email linked to your SparkReceipt account. Please include it when contacting our support team so we can find your account quickly.
🧠 Why This Matters
Because Apple hides your real email when using Sign in with Apple, we only see the private relay address on our end. Without it, we may not be able to locate your subscription or account.
Other helpful ideas to find your account:
Please double-check the email address you used to log in and confirm that it’s the same one you used originally and matches the address we’ve been sending onboarding messages to.
If you're using the Mobile App and looking for older documents, try scrolling further down the main screen to view documents from past months.
In the Desktop Application, the “All Months” feature is helpful for navigating older files, and the Recents tab is useful for spotting any misdated documents.
