Tasks Tab: Building a Task

Task Name

The task name will print on your quotes and invoices, you can change or delete the task name by clicking on the ... icon to the right of the Task: dropdown (insert picture).

Sections

Each task has different sections (access via Sections dropdown):

Products

  • you can add products by:

    • selecting online or scanning a barcode to access the product catalogue

    • selecting lines to select products from non-Sparky suppliers

  • you can edit products with the pencil icon.

Labour:

If you select Labour from the Section dropdown you can add labour to your quote by selecting lines and either retrieving a labour line, or select a staff member for rate.

Product Lines:

Other Items are for non-product items like call out fee, parking or equipment hire.

Pre-builds

Pre-builds are made up of products, labour and other items. They are great for setting up price books (e.g. supply and install of powerpoint) or more complex work (e.g. supply and install of Tesla Powerwall) that you do a lot of. To find out more type prebuild into SparkyChat.

Attachments

Sparky lets you upload PDFs for your staff to use in the field (e.g. site maps) and JPGs for your staff and customers to see.

Notes

These notes will be visible to your customer on their quote or invoice.

Private Comments:

You can communicate with your team about a job here like using WhatsApp. This keeps a permanent record. Some users make notes in here so they can add products and labour when they get home.
