As of March 20th, 2024, Sparrow has partnered with Walnut Insurance Inc. (“Walnut”) to offer our members a complimentary Resident Liability Insurance (“Tenant Coverage”), further enhancing the protection and benefits of homesharing through our platform.
For housemates who enter into a Boarding Agreement or Rental Agreement on or after March 20th, 2024 with a Host through Sparrow, Housemates are automatically enrolled in Resident Liability Insurance.
The Tenant Coverage offers the following:
Bodily Injury Liability: Coverage up to $1,000,000 per occurrence for bodily harm occurring at the insured location during the policy term, with liability established against the resident certificate holder.
Property Damage Liability: Coverage up to $100,000 per occurrence for physical damage to the host’s property occurring at the insured location during the policy term, with liability established against the resident certificate holder.
