With Similar Companies & Competitors, you can:
Find Lookalike Investments – Instantly generate a list of companies similar to a startup you’re tracking, helping you identify overlooked opportunities.
Analyse Competitive Landscapes – Understand how a company stacks up against its competitors and uncover key players in a given market.
Expand Deal Flow Effortlessly – No more manual searching—our AI does the heavy lifting, so you can focus on what matters: closing the best deals.
🚀 How It Works
There are 3 simple ways that you can use this new feature:
1. You can simply click on any company page & you will be able to see the Similar Companies tab on the right hand-side, see the screenshot below.
This will give you a list of the Similar Companies along with their Description, Specter Rank, Growth Stage, HQ Region & Total Funding Amount.
You can also click 'View All Similar Companies' at the bottom of your screen to bring you to the Company Search page and view all similar companies.
2. You can leverage Similar Companies & Competitors through our AI Agent. Simply type something like "similar companies to @Revolut" or "competitors of @Rippling" and Specter's advanced algorithms will surface similar companies and direct competitors based on key attributes like sector, funding stage, business model, and more.
3. You can also use the 'Similar Companies' filter within a Company Search, see the screenshot below.
💡 Tips & Best Practices
Make sure to tag (@) the Company that you want to see similar companies or competitors of.
Don't worry if your prompt doesn't have the exact wording as above, our AI Agent will implement automatic improvements for better input and results.
Feel free to add more detail to the prompt, e.g "similar companies to @Loveable, based in the US who have raised a Series A".
