Open any company profile and click Competitors. Specter finds the companies competing with it, ranks them by how directly they overlap, and explains how the market divides.
The summary
The panel at the top states how the market splits, in one sentence, followed by which companies lead which part of it. For a hardware supply-chain company, that might be a split between transaction-focused procurement platforms and collaborative project management tools.

The Last analysed on date tells you how fresh it is. Click Re-run Analysis to regenerate it, which is worth doing if the company has raised or pivoted since.
The market dimensions
Below the summary, chips break the competitor set into the segments the market actually divides along, each with a count. A supply-chain market might split into Supplier Discovery, Manufacturing Marketplaces, Hardware Collaboration, and Electronics Procurement.
Click a chip to filter the table to that segment. Click All to go back.
This is the fastest way to answer "who competes with them on the thing we care about", rather than "who is vaguely similar".
The table
Every competitor, ranked.
Column | What it tells you |
Overlap | How directly this company competes, scored out of 10 |
Specialty | What this competitor actually does, in one line |
Funding | Total raised |
Employees | Current headcount |
The company you started from sits at the top marked Benchmark, so every row reads as a comparison against it rather than as a standalone list.
Segment tags on each row show which dimensions that competitor belongs to. A company can sit in more than one.
Getting it out
Use the export control at the top right of the table to pull the full competitor set into a spreadsheet, or add competitors to a List to track them alongside the original company.
