Signal Type

There are various Signal Types that allow you to filter for different kinds of talent movements:

Type

What it captures

Deal‑sourcing value

New Company

Talent moves to a brand‑new venture.

Early look at pipeline before seed PR hits.

New Role

Lateral move into an existing company.

Gauge scaling velocity & leadership upgrades.

New Fund

Operator spins up or joins an investment firm.

Map co‑investors and potential follow‑on capital

Searching

Exits without announcing next step.

Stake out stealth founders before rivals do.

Promotion

Internal step‑up (e.g., VP  to C‑level)

Validate bench depth & succession strength.

Investment

Talent makes an angel or scout cheque.

Surface under‑the‑radar companies via micro‑investments.

Signal Status

You can also filter by Signal Status to show talents at different points in their lifecycle, which flows chronologically as follows:

→ Live
OR
→ Stealth or Searching → Out of Stealth → Live

Status

Definition

Investor angle

Stealth

New venture underway but name undisclosed.

Time outreach while competition is low.

Out of Stealth*

Company name just revealed (status lasts 7 days)

7‑day exclusivity window to jump on fresh intel.

Live

Final destination fully public.

Confirm the move; update deal notes/CRM.

HR

Indicates talent-related moves valuable for recruiting or team-mapping.

Helps Talent Partners filter relevant moves separate from broader deal-sourcing.

* Out of Stealth Advantage (ADV): Days between original Stealth/Searching signal and reveal—use it to measure how far ahead you spotted the opportunity.

Note: Every Friday, last week’s Out of Stealth signals roll off to make room for the new batch; search Live signals with an Advantage score to review historical wins.
