You can use a calculation step to segment information into groups based on conditional rules you set. These groups can then be used for routing in a later step.

When adding a calculation step, you can either

  • Add Segment - this lets you set up a new custom segment

  • Add Matrix - this lets you choose a existing risk matrix or create a new risk matrix

Add segment

When adding a new segment, you can set up custom rule groups.

Create rule group

To create a rule group, use the Add Rule Group button.

Edit rule group

To edit a rule group, you can choose the field from which the data is taken.

Click on the square in the middle, to choose an operator from the list.

If you use any mathematical operators, make sure the chosen field contains numerical values

You can also build more complex rules, using AND or OR operators. To change the connecting operator, click on the operator and select the operator.

You can add multiple rule groups and adapt the score assigned to each rule group, as well as the weighting of the overall segment.

The score and weighting are used for rule-based routing. For this the score is summed and multiple with the weight.

Add matrix

To add a risk matrix, click on Add Matrix and choose an existing matrix or add a new matrix.
