Add Spinach to your all your meetings (including standups, retros, planning and backlog grooming meetings to name a few) and get intelligent summaries that surface action items, key decisions and connect the dots.

  1. Add invite@spinach.io to the Outlook calendar invite for your meetings, making sure the invite includes a Teams link. Or login with Microsoft and connect your calendar here.

  2. At the time of the meeting, join from the Teams link in the calendar and allow it into the meeting from the waiting room.

  3. Spinach will automatically detect the meeting type.

  4. After the meeting, you'll get a summary in your inbox.

  5. Forward your Spinach summaries to your Teams channel using these instructions.

Troubleshooting:

  • If you are receiving an alert that says "failed to add to meeting" that is because MS Teams has a setting that sometimes only allows meeting owners to add guests to meetings. If this alert shows up for you, have your meeting owner add invite@spinach.io to your meeting.

  • Make sure to allow for "external guests" to join your meetings. If your Microsoft, Outlook or Teams account requires external participants to sign in, Spinach won't be able to join your meetings. Here are more details on how to change this setting.

  • Spinach needs to see all attendees on the meeting. Go to your web browser version of your calendar and go to your meeting invite. Click Response Options and make sure "Hide attendee list" is unchecked from your meetings.
