Reflect, Journal and Session History

How the Breath Journal's Stats, Breath Map and Reflect tabs work, how session history and Discovered States are handled, and how to delete sessions or reset statistics.

The Breath Journal has three tabs: Stats, Breath Map and Reflect. Reflect is available on Free for the first 30 days after your first launch and is unlimited with Spiral Breath+.

The three Breath Journal tabs

• Stats — Practice statistics, milestones and Reset Stats
• Breath Map — A constellation-style visualization of your practice
• Reflect — Practice readings and suggestions for your next session

Archive and Journeys are separate pages available from the home menu. They are not tabs within the Breath Journal.

Archive

Archive contains your past sessions and their sigils.

You can open an archived session, replay its exercise or delete the session individually.

If you're using Free and try to replay a session that used a Spiral Breath+ exercise, you'll be shown the upgrade screen. The exercise is not automatically converted into a Free version.

Reflect

Reflect is generated entirely on your device. It does not use an external AI service, and your reflections are not sent to an AI service for processing.

Reflect can provide:

• A summary of your practice
• A suggestion for your next session
• The reasoning behind that suggestion
• A suggested exercise
• Your practice-time preferences

You can also manually enter a Field Mirror reading received from an Architect platform.

Free: Reflect is available for 30 days from your first launch.

Spiral Breath+: Reflect is available without the 30-day limit.

When the Free Reflect period ends, the app displays a message explaining that Spiral Breath+ is required to continue using Reflect.

Recording how a session felt

After a session, you can record information about your experience, including:

• A feeling
• A written reflection
• A resonance shift

This information stays on your device and can contribute to Reflect and Discovered States.

Discovered States

Spiral Breath+ can identify recurring combinations in your practice.

A Discovered State can appear when:

• You have completed at least 8 sessions
• The same combination of breathing pattern and harmonic tone appears in 3 or more sessions
• Those qualifying sessions have coherence scores of 65 or higher

The app then assigns a State name, such as:

• Deep Calm
• Clear Mind
• Quiet Presence

If you don't have any Discovered States yet, you may have completed fewer than 8 sessions, or no qualifying pattern-and-tone combination has occurred at least three times with scores of 65 or higher.

Session history limits

The main session history keeps your most recent 1,000 sessions.

When the main history exceeds that limit, older practice information moves into the app's long-term archive representation. On the Breath Map, this older practice contributes to the background glow rather than appearing as individual session stars.

Your most recent 1,000 sessions remain individually represented in the main session history.

Deleting and resetting

Delete a session

Deleting a session from Archive removes that individual session.

Reset Stats

Use:

Breath Journal → Stats → Reset Stats

Reset Stats starts your displayed statistics again from that point. It does not delete your existing sessions from Archive.

Delete a custom exercise

Deleting a custom exercise removes it and frees a custom exercise slot.

Abandon a Journey

Abandoning a Journey permanently removes the saved progress for that Journey.

This cannot be undone.

Deleting all locally stored Spiral Breath+ data

Spiral Breath+ does not currently provide a single “Delete Everything” button.

Because Spiral Breath+ stores its practice data locally rather than in a Spiral Breath+ cloud account, deleting the app removes its locally stored app data from that iPhone.

Why does Sessions show 1 when I haven't completed a session?

This is a known display quirk.

When there are no sessions to count, the Sessions statistic can display 1 instead of 0.

You may notice this as a new user or immediately after using Reset Stats.

This does not mean an extra practice session has been added to your Archive.

The displayed Sessions figure corrects itself after you complete a session.
