The core Spiral Breath+ practice experience works without an internet connection.
Breathing sessions, Breath Lock, sigils, Journeys and your Journal all run locally on your iPhone.
An internet connection is mainly needed for App Store subscription actions and external links.
What works offline
You can use the core practice features without an internet connection:
• Breathing sessions
• Harmonic tones and the infrasonic layer
• Breath detection and coherence scoring
• Sigil creation
• Breath Map
• Breath Journal and Archive
• Journeys
• Reflect
These features run locally on your iPhone and do not require a network connection during normal use.
What requires an internet connection
A connection is required for:
• Starting a subscription through the App Store
• Restore Purchases
• Loading current subscription prices from the App Store
• Opening external links such as the Privacy Policy or Terms of Service
Spiral Breath+ also sends its limited anonymous usage events when a connection is available. Your breath audio, reflections and other private practice content are not included in those events.
If you're offline when your subscription status needs to be checked
Spiral Breath+ keeps a recently verified Plus entitlement available for up to 7 days after the app last successfully confirmed your subscription status.
This helps prevent temporary loss of Plus features when you're travelling or temporarily without an internet connection.
Once the app can connect again, it can confirm the current subscription status with the App Store.
Restore Purchases requires a connection
Restore Purchases needs internet access because Spiral Breath+ must contact the App Store.
If you try while offline, you'll see:
“Couldn't reach the App Store — Restore needs an internet connection.”
Reconnect to the internet and try Restore Purchases again.
Using Aeroplane Mode
You can complete normal Spiral Breath+ breathing sessions in Aeroplane Mode.
Features that require the App Store or an external website will remain unavailable until your iPhone has an internet connection.
