QuickPicks: What Happens When You Click Into a Player (Popular Picks)

When browsing QuickPicks, you’ll often see players listed under Popular Picks or within the main board. Clicking into a player will open a more detailed view, allowing you to better evaluate your selection before adding it to your entry.

Why Click Into a Player?

Selecting a player card provides additional context and data to help you make a more informed decision when choosing More or Less.

Instead of relying only on the projection shown on the main screen, the expanded player view gives you deeper insight into recent performance and trends.

What Information Is Available?

When you click into a player, you’ll typically see:

Player Details

  • Player name and position

  • Team matchup (e.g., BOS @ MIN)

  • Game start time

Statistical Projections

Each available stat category is broken out individually, such as:

  • Points

  • Rebounds

  • Assists

  • Combo stats (e.g., Points + Rebounds + Assists)

Each stat includes:

  • The projected line (e.g., 51.5 Pts + Rebs + Asts)

  • A More and Less option

Recent Performance (Game Log Snapshot)

You’ll also see a visual representation of recent performance, which may include:

  • Last 5 games (L5) averages

  • Performance bars showing recent outputs

  • Comparison between recent performance and the current projection

This helps you quickly identify:

  • Trends (hot or cold streaks)

  • Consistency

  • How often a player is hitting above or below the line

How to Use This Information

Before making your selection, you can use the expanded player view to:

  • Compare the projection to recent averages

  • Evaluate matchup context

  • Identify trends or inconsistencies

  • Decide whether the line feels high or low

Once you’re ready, you can:

  • Tap More if you believe the player will exceed the projection

  • Tap Less if you believe the player will fall short

Your selection will then be added to your entry.

Why This Matters

QuickPicks is a skill-based, peer-to-peer game, so making informed decisions is key.

The player detail view is designed to:

  • Provide transparency into player performance

  • Help you make more confident picks

  • Improve your overall strategy

Using this information effectively can give you an edge over other participants in your contest.

Summary

When you click into a player from Popular Picks or the board:

  • You unlock more detailed stats and projections

  • You can view recent performance trends

  • You can make a more informed More or Less decision
