Group Entry FAQs

Can I split an entry after the contest has already started? No. Splitting has to happen before the contest's first pick locks — it's a tool for setting up an entry, not something you can do once picks are underway.

What happens if a friend doesn't accept their invite in time? If an invite isn't accepted before the first pick locks, it's automatically declined and that percentage goes back to whoever started the split. For example: if you send 20% each to 4 friends and one of them doesn't accept in time, you'll get that 20% back — bringing you to 40% ownership — while your other 3 friends keep 20% each.

Do I have to pay my full share, or can I pay less? Everyone pays their exact pro-rata share on-platform — there's no free or discounted option, and the price can't be edited down. For example, a 20% share of a $1,000 entry will always cost $200.

Who can join a Group Entry? Anyone you invite needs a KYC-verified Splash account and must be in a state or jurisdiction where the contest is allowed — the same requirements as entering any contest on your own.

How many people can split one entry? Up to 10 owners total — that's you plus up to 9 friends.

Can the split be uneven? Yes. You can keep any share you want and give any share to each friend. For example, you could keep 60% and split the remaining 40% across four friends at 10% each.

Can I do an even 50/50 split with one friend? Not quite — due to underlying marketplace rules, an exact 50/50 two-way split isn't supported. If you split with exactly one friend, the split will land at 51%/49% instead. Every other combination works as expected.

Can I re-split my entry, or can a co-owner split their share further? Only the original owner who started the split can do so, and only once per entry. Co-owners can't re-split their own slice.
