New Town Bike Hub Location
The New Town Bike Hub is located inside the Old Heath Recreation Ground in Colchester. The Hub is by the GO4 Cafe, just off Recreation Road. The full address is Recreation Rd, Colchester CO1 2HE.

Entering the Space
Make sure you have internet connection and head to the Active tab of the My Bookings page of the app.
Find your booking ticket for the day and press “Get Entry Code” to reveal the main entry code for the door.
Enter the code into the keypad on the door.
When entering the code please make sure you enter the star before the 6 digits.
If the code is entered wrong a few times the lock can stop functioning for around 30 seconds as a security measure so please give it a chance to re-set before entering again.
Please enter the code slowly - the lock is not time sensitive so take your time and press the buttons gently.
Please note that entry codes will not show up until the day of the booking.
Picking up your bike
Once inside the Hub, find the key for your bike in the key lock box. Please open this key box using a code which has been emailed to you in your booking confirmation email.
Complete 1) ABCL check 2) check for visual damage 3) alert us if there is an issue with the bike.
Please enter the code again to shut the door when you have picked up your bike.
Please be aware that lost keys will incur a £75 replacement fee.
Dropping off your bike
Re-enter the Hub at the end of your booking using the same entry method as above.
Return the bike to the same rack it was parked in. Please lock the bike using both the Dlock, chain lock and frame lock if the bike has one. Please locate the charger for your hired bike and put this on charge ready for the next user.
Return the bike keys to the key lock box and close when finished.
Checking Out
When you've finished with Daily booking, pressing "Check Out" will finish your booking and place your individual rack inside a Hub or Outdoor Locker back online, for other cyclists to book.
