Add iCal to Google Calendar

Updated over a month ago

There are two ways to add Sportlyzer to your Google Calendar.

  • Adding the iCal URL link

  • Adding the .ics calendar file

This short tutorial show you how to subscribe to a public iCal Calendar with Google Calendar. First you need to have the iCal Calendar URL link that you can find on the availability marking page or you can request it from the coach.

  1. On the left side go to "Other Calendars" and click on the dropdown.

  2. Choose "Add by URL".

  3. Enter the URL of the calendar, which you want to subscribe to.

  4. Click on "Add Calendar" and wait for Google to import your events.

In some cases you might have .ics calendar file. For example when you click on the Subscribe to my training calendar button at the bottom of the Weekly training plan emails.

By clicking on the Subscribe to my training schedule button, your computer will download the .ics calendar file. Save the file to an easy location and go to your Google Calendar at calendar.google.com.

  1. On the left side go to "Other Calendars" and click on the dropdown.

  2. Choose "Import calendar".

  3. Click on "Choose file" and locate the .ics file on your computer.

  4. Click on "Import" and wait for Google to import your events.

NB! The sync cycle of Google Calendar is around 24h. After an event in Sportlyzer is changed you still have to wait till Google Calendar syncs with Sportlyzer to see the change yourself.
