If your entry loses because one of your picks went down early with an injury, we have your back! With Boom’s Rescue Refund policy, any Pick ‘em or Pick & Spin entry that lost because of a Rescued pick will receive its initial entry fee back in bonus funds, plus a Rescue Reward in the form of a Risk-Free token!
For example, a $10 Pick ‘Em entry loses because of an Over pick for Christian McCaffrey rushing yards, where he gets hurt in the 1st quarter and does not return, preventing the pick from reaching the Over. For this, you'd get back $10 (your initial entry fee) in bonus funds plus a Risk-Free token!

Which entry types are eligible?
All Pick ‘Em entries, both regular and Coverage, and Pick & Spin entry types are eligible for evaluation for a Rescue Refund. Bingo and Squad Ride entry types aren’t eligible.
Coverage entries are handled as follows:
If a Coverage entry receives a payout equal to or greater than the initial entry fee, it does not qualify for a Rescue Refund.
For example, a 4 pick Coverage entry whose 1 incorrect pick was a Rescue will not be refunded and will be paid for the remaining multiplier on the entry.
If a Coverage entry receives a payout less than the initial entry fee, it may qualify for bonus funds equal to the difference between the payout and the initial entry fee.
For example, a $10, 5 pick Coverage entry has 3 winning picks, 1 losing pick and 1 Rescued pick. The payout would be .4x the initial entry fee, or $4 in cash. The remaining $6 of the initial entry fee ($10-$4=$6) will be paid out in bonus funds.
If the entire entry was canceled then it is not eligible for a Rescue Refund. Instead, you’ll receive a refund of your entry fee per our cancellation policy.
What is a Rescue Reward?
A Rescue Reward is a reward given out on a Rescued entry, in addition to the bonus fund payout. The Rescue Reward is issued as a Risk-Free token that can be applied to a Pick ’Em or Pick & Spin entry. Reward amount and restrictions may vary. All details can be found in the More Info section of the reward within your Promos tab.
Only one Rescue Reward may be earned within a 24 hour window (24 hour window defined as, 6am ET - 6am ET the following day). Eligibility is determined based on the time the qualifying entry finalizes. Multiple qualifying entries within the same window will each receive bonus funds (if applicable), but only one Rescue Reward will be issued. Once the 24 hour window is up, you’ll be eligible for another Rescue Reward if you have another Rescued entry.
When will I see my Rescue Refund and Rescue Reward?
If a player qualifies for a Rescue, allow up to 30 minutes after their game concludes for that player to be rescued and for all picks and stats to be verified. Once completed, your Rescue Refund and Rescue Reward will be issued within 5 minutes of that entry’s finalization. If these are not paid out within 5 minutes, please contact our support team.
What qualifies as a Rescued pick?
If a pick met the following criteria and caused your entry to lose, then you would be eligible for a refund:
NFL:
The player in your pick is removed from the game in the 1st half due to injury and does not return in the 2nd half to play an offensive snap.
The pick was an OVER on the player’s projection.
The projection on the pick was for a full game.
1st Half, 2nd Half, 4th Quarter, and season long questions do not qualify.
The player did not exceed their projection.
If your pick tied the projection, then it does not qualify.
The pick was for a regular season or post season game.
The pick was for an offensive player projection. Defensive picks and kickers do not get Rescued.
Your pick doesn’t qualify if:
The selected pick is an UNDER for a projection. Any UNDER picks related to the affected player will continue to be graded as a win if the player falls below their projection.
If your pick got benched or ejected from the game.
NBA/WNBA:
The player in your pick is removed from the game in the 1st half due to injury and records 0 minutes in the 2nd half.
The pick was an OVER on the player’s projection.
The projection on the pick was for a full game.
1st Half, 2nd Half, 4th Quarter, and season long questions do not qualify.
The pick for your player did not exceed its projection.
If your pick tied the projection then it does not qualify.
The pick was for a regular season or post season game.
Includes NBA In-Season tournament, NBA post-season games, NBA Regular season games.
Does NOT include the All-Star Game or other events happening during the all-star weekend
The pick doesn’t qualify if:
The selected pick is an UNDER for a projection. Any UNDER picks related to the affected player will continue to be graded as a win if the player falls below their projection.
If your pick got benched or ejected from the game.
MLB
The player in your pick is a batter that records 2 or less Plate Appearances.
The pick was an OVER on the player’s projection.
The projection on the pick was for a full game.
The player did not exceed their projection.
If your pick tied the projection then it does not qualify.
The pick was for a regular season or post season game.
The pick doesn’t qualify if:
The selected pick is an UNDER for a projection. Any UNDER picks related to the affected player will continue to be graded as a win if the player falls below their projection.
Your pick got benched or ejected from the game
Your pick includes pitching statistics.
CFB
The player plays on a Top 25 team. Top 25 is defined by AP Rankings until the CFP Rankings are released.
The player in your pick is removed from the game in the 1st half due to injury and does not return in the 2nd half to play an offensive snap.
The pick was an OVER on the player’s projection.
The projection on the pick was for a full game.
1st Half, 2nd Half, 4th Quarter, and season long questions do not qualify.
The player did not exceed their projection.
If your pick tied the projection then it does not qualify.
The pick was for a regular season or post season game.
The pick was for an offensive player projection. Defensive picks and kickers do not get Rescued.
Your pick doesn’t qualify if:
