• Total Bases - The total amount of bases gained by the batter through hits only. A single = 1 base, a double = 2 bases, a triple = 3 bases and a home run = 4 bases.

• Runs - The total runs scored by a player.

• Hits - The total hits recorded by a player. This excludes reaching base due to error or fielders choice.

• Home Runs - The total home runs hit by a player.

• RBIs - The total runs batted in by a player.

• Strikeouts - The total amount of strikeouts recorded by the pitcher.

• Pitching Outs - The total amount of outs recorded while the pitcher is still in the game. The pitcher does not need to record the outs himself.

• Hits Allowed - The total amount of hits the pitcher allows.

• Walks (pitcher)- The total amount of batters walked by the pitcher.

• Earned Runs - The total amount of earned runs given up by the pitcher.

• Pitches Thrown - The total amount of pitches thrown by the pitcher.

• Hits+Walks - The total amount of hits and walks recorded by the batter.

• Singles - The total amount of singles recorded by the batter. The batter must not advance further than first base on the hit.

• Doubles - The total amount of doubles recorded by the batter. The batter must not advance further than second base on the hit.

• Triples - The total amount of triples recorded by the batter. The batter must not advance further than third base on the hit.

• Hits + Runs + RBIs: the combined total of Base Hits, Runs Scored, and Runs Batted In that a player records in the game

• Stolen Bases: occurs when a baserunner advances by taking a base to which he isn’t entitled, most commonly while the pitcher is throwing a pitch. Advancing because of an error, passed ball, wild pitch, or defensive indifference will not typically result in a stolen base being credited.

• Fantasy Points: a scoring system that awards a player points for different stats they accumulate throughout the game. The points from each stat will be combined for an overall score. Only stats from the player’s primary position (hitting or pitching) will be counted towards their question, so if a pitcher hits or a position player makes a pitching appearance, those stats will not be counted. Points are awarded as follows (you can also view these breakdowns by clicking the i icon next to a player’s listed projection):

  • Hitter

    • Single: 3 points each

    • Double: 6 points each

    • Triple: 8 points each

    • Home Run: 10 points each

    • Walk: 3 points each

    • Hit by Pitch: 3 points each

    • RBI: 2 points each

    • Run: 2 points each

    • Stolen Base: 4 points each

  • Pitcher

    • Win: 5 points

    • Quality Start: 5 points

    • Strikeout: 3 points each

    • Pitching Outs: 1 point each

    • Earned Run: -3 points each

      • Win: a stat awarded to starting pitchers who meet the following criteria:

        • At least 5 innings pitched (in a traditional 9-inning game)

        • Leaves the game with their team having the lead

        • Their team maintains the lead (not a tie game or losing) for the rest of the game

        • If the starting pitcher does not meet this criteria, they will not be eligible for a win and it will be awarded to a relief pitcher if their team wins the game.

      • Quality Start: a stat awarded to starting pitchers who meet the following criteria:

        • Started the game and pitched at least 6 innings

        • Allowed 3 earned runs or fewer
