Team and standings terms: WIN%, STREAK, OWP, Buchholz, Pace, Net Rtg and Four Factors

WIN%, STREAK, OWP, Buchholz, Pace, Net Rtg and Four Factors.

📍 Where to find it: Standings and team pages; Leaders/rankings

🔒 Who can do this: requires Four Factors and advanced team stats: basketball only.

These labels show up on standings, team pages and league-leader lists. They cover records, strength-of-schedule tiebreakers, and a few basketball-only team measures.

Records

  • WIN%, Win Percentage, the share of games a team has won. Higher is better.

  • STREAK: the current run of consecutive wins or losses.

Strength-of-schedule and tiebreakers

These are team measures. When teams finish level on record they decide who is seeded higher, and they reward a tougher schedule. They are not used to compare individual players: player comparison uses PIE.

  • OWP, Opponents' Winning Percentage, how well your opponents have done. A higher OWP means you played a tougher schedule, which counts in your favor.

  • BUCH, Buchholz, a Swiss-style tiebreaker that sums up your opponents' scores/results. A higher BUCH reflects tougher opposition and breaks ties in your favor.

Basketball team measures

  • Pace: the estimated number of possessions per game.

  • Net Rtg, Net Rating, a team's offensive rating minus its defensive rating. Higher is better.

  • Four Factors: Dean Oliver's four keys to winning: shooting (eFG%), turnovers (TOV%), rebounding (ORB% / DRB%) and free throws (FTR).

Why don't I see this?

Pace, Net Rtg and the Four Factors are basketball-family features. Volleyball has its own stat set and does not include the Four Factors or the basketball advanced-team stats. The most detailed team analytics also live on the SportsVisio web product rather than in the mobile app.
