Why is there a $1 pending transaction against my bank account?

You may see a $1 pre-authorisation transaction on your bank statement after making your first purchase with a new credit card.

We use PayPal as our payment provider and as part of their security checks, they will place a temporary $1 pre-authorisation transaction against your account. This will typically disappear within 3 days in which there is no charge incurred.
