This new feature provides canteens with the ability to turn recess and lunch menus on and off as required. This is also where you set the cut-off time for ordering and where you can turn off the recess or lunch menu if you do not want to offer it.

To find the Food Break Setting select Settings in the top right-hand corner, select Canteen Settings.

Scroll down to the Food Break Settings.

USING THE FEATURE

You can manage both Recess and Lunch settings separately. Toggle between Lunch and Recess using the drop-down tab to configure the settings for each menu.

You can update the cut-off time for Recess and Lunch orders. This function ensures that parents do not place any orders after this time.

Canteens can have different cut-offs for each menu e.g. Recess cut-off can be set to 8:00 AM and Lunch cut-off can be set to 9:30 AM. This will allow staff to prepare orders ahead of time.

If your Canteen only provides a Lunch or Recess service you can disable a menu by checking the Disable button and clicking the save button.

The example above will turn off the recess menu on the parent app. Parents will now only see the lunch menu in their app.

This new Food Break Setting feature allows Canteens to manage and control Food breaks settings more simply and efficiently.
