An active shoot is a shoot and client that you are currently actively working with. It is simply an organizational tool to help you categorize your clients easier.

While a shoot is active, they show up on your default shoots list when you click the "shoots" menu item on the left-hand side of Sprout.

Once you are done with a shoot (for example, after you deliver the finished product to them), you can archive that shoot to remove them from the main shoot list.

This will place the shoot in an archive folder which can be accessed by clicking the button in the top right of the shoots overview (The button will only be present if at least one shoot is archived)
