To delete a contact or client in Sprout Studio, you have two options:

Deleting a contact(s) from the contact list page

  1. Navigate to the Contacts page on the left-hand side and click the modal button left of the contact you want to delete.

  2. Then, click the bulk actions button at the top of the page and select "Move to Trash" from the dropdown menu.

  3. If you want to delete multiple contacts at once, select the checkboxes on the left-hand side of the contacts you'd like to delete and then click the "Bulk Actions" button at the top.

Deleting a contact while editing a contact

  1. Click on the contact you want to delete to edit it.

  2. Click on the three dots to the right of the name.

  3. Open the actions tab and click the "Move to Trash" button at the bottom.

However, please remember that some contacts cannot be deleted if they are the Primary Client for a Lead or Shoot because each Lead and Shoot requires one primary client. In this case, you must either go into the Lead or Shoot and assign a new primary client or delete the Lead or Shoot entirely to delete the contact.

Emptying the Trash

Once you delete a contact, it is moved to the Trash. To view and restore a deleted contact, click the "Trash" icon on the contact list page. You can also restore multiple contacts by selecting them, clicking the "Bulk Actions" button and choosing "Restore from Trash".
