You can send a digital Contract to your clients through Sprout Studio as a requirement to booking you as their photographer, or just as a contract for them to sign as an addendum, cancellation, and so on.

How to create a new contract

You can add a contract in two different ways:

  1. Go to Settings > Pricing & Booking > Contract Templates and click the "New Contract" button. This will create a template contract that you can use over-and-over again.
  2. Anywhere a contract is used (i.e. a booking proposal or in a shoot), you can create a new custom contract (or choose from a template one).

When adding/editing a contract, you can insert any "variables" that may be applicable, such as your name, today's date, the shoot name, and so on. You can see the list of all variables available by clicking on the variable buttons in the header of the contract compose section.

How to add an "Accept" checkbox to a contract

You can add an "Accept" checkbox into a contract, which requires that your client checks it off before signing the contract. This is useful if you want to draw attention to a specific section in your contract and confirm that they have read it.

To add an "Accept" checkbox into a contract, click the "Custom Variables" button in the header of the contract compose section, and click the "Insert Accept Checkbox" button when your cursor is next to the section you would like to draw attention to.

How to add a text field into a contract

You can add a text-field into a contract, which requires that your client enters information into it before signing the contract. This is useful if you want to collect specific information as part of the contract.

To add a text-field into a contract, click the "Custom Variables" button in the header of the contract contents section, and click the "Insert Text Field" button when you cursor is where you would like this text field within your body of text.

How to require multiple signatures in a contract

You can require that your contract is signed by multiple people. By default, contracts require one signature. To add multiple signatures, click the "Add Signature" button while editing a contract.

You can specify the name (or title) of the signature by clicking into the signature box and giving it a name (i.e. Client 1 and Client 2).
