Coupons are an excellent way to incentivize purchases and reward loyal clients in Sprout Studio. When used during order creation, a coupon applies a discount to the order, making it more affordable. You can utilize coupons in the following scenarios:

  1. Placing an order in a Gallery: Coupons can be applied when placing an order through a Gallery.

  2. Filling out a Booking Proposal or Booking Page: Coupons are also applicable when filling out a Booking Proposal or Booking Page.

It's important to know that a coupon should not be mistaken as a substitute for payment or a form of credit. Instead, it serves to reduce the order price at the time of creation.

Coupons can be either attached to a specific Lead or Shoot, limiting their usage to Galleries or Booking proposals related to that particular Lead or Shoot. Alternatively, coupons can be unattached, allowing them to be used globally.

To view your coupons in Sprout Studio, you have two options:

  1. 1. Dashboard:

    1. Go to Overview > Coupons & Credits.

    2. This page displays all of your coupons.

  2. Lead or Shoot:

    1. Open the specific Lead or Shoot and visit the "Credits & Coupons" page.

    2. Here, you can view coupons that are specific to that particular Lead or Shoot.

To create a new coupon, you can follow either of these methods:

  1. Overview:

    1. Visit the "Credits & Coupons" page under the Overview section.

    2. Click the "Add New" button at the top of the page.
      โ€‹

  2. Lead or Shoot:

    1. Go to the "Credits & Coupons" page within the Lead or Shoot.

    2. Click the "Add New" button at the top of the page.

Specifying details for a coupon

When creating or editing a coupon, you'll see that you can specify the following details:

  • Coupon name - This is the name of the coupon for your reference only.

  • Coupon code - This is the code your client will have to type in when using the coupon.

  • Type and amount - This is whether the coupon is a percentage discount or a flat fee discount (i.e. 20% off or $50 off).

  • Usage limits - This is whether the coupon is limited to a certain number of uses or has unlimited uses.

  • Expiry date - This is the date the coupon must be used. After this date, the coupon will not validate.

  • Attached to - This is whether the coupon is attached to a lead or shoot or is available globally.

  • Description - This is simply an internal note for your reference.

You'll also notice in the coupon modal that there is a "Usage Log" tab. Here, you can see the history of a coupon once it has been used - when and how it was used.
