Within Your Session on SquadCast

You have the ability to select/adjust your equipment within a Studio session by performing the following:

  • Start from within a Studio session
  • Click on the three Name Menu to the right of your video screen
  • Click on equipment item you wish to select/adjust (microphone, camera, or video)
  • A drop-down menu will appear listing the equipment types available to select
  • Select equipment

MacOS

Click on the Apple menu in the top left corner

  1. Select System Preferences
  2. Select Sound in the second row

Microphone

  1. Select the Input tab near the top
  2. Select the desired Microphone/Interface in the list
  3. Speak into the desired microphone
  4. Ensure that the Input level responds as intended
  5. Adjust the Input volume slider if necessary, we recommend 75-85%
  6. Refresh SquadCast

Headphones

  1. Select the Output tab near the top
  2. Select the desired Microphone/Interface in the list
  3. Ensure the Mute is unchecked
  4. Ensure the Output volume is not 0%, we recommend 50%
  5. Refresh SquadCast

Camera

  1. MacOS has no settings for Camera
  2. Refresh SquadCast

Windows

  1. Click on the Start menu in the bottom left corner
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select System
  4. Select Sound

Microphone

  1. Select the desired Microphone/Interface in the dropdown under Choose your input device
  2. Speak into the desired microphone
  3. Ensure that the Test your microphone responds as intended
  4. Click on Device Properties
  5. Adjust the Input volume slider if necessary, we recommend 75-85%
  6. If there are problems with any of the prior steps, please verify your device driver is installed & updated. Your hardware
  7. manufacturer’s website will have support & instructions
  8. Refresh SquadCast

Headphones

  1. Select the desired Headphones/Interface in the dropdown under Choose your output device
  2. Ensure the Output volume is not 0%, we recommend 50%
  3. Refresh SquadCast

Camera

  1. Windows has no settings for Camera
  2. Ensure all other apps that use the camera are fully closed, Windows does not allow more than one app at a time to use the camera
  3. Verify your device driver is installed & updated. Your hardware manufacturer’s website will have support & instructions
  4. Refresh SquadCast
