About Invalid Works: When a publishing deal errors with an “Invalid Works attached to this deal error, that means there are some data points that do not exactly match with the deal and what is connected to the deal.
They can be easily found by going to the deal that reported the error, then going to the Musical Works Tab and clicking “Find Invalid Works”.
For both writer and publisher deals the Musical work Administrator/Collector must be the exact same contact as the Administrator on the Writers/Publishers/Admins tab of each work that is reported as invalid. If not it must be changed so the deal and the works match.

For Writer Deals
In the case of a writer deal, the following items must match exactly between the musical works attached to the deal and the deal itself. Exactly means it must be the same contact, not just the same name.
The receiving party must be the exact same contact as the contributor on the musical works writers/publishers/admins tab that are included in the deal. If it is not the exact same contact, use the pencil next to the contact name on the work to change it, or change the receiving party on the deal.

For Publisher Deals
In the case of a publisher deal, the following items must match exactly between the musical works attached to the deal and the deal itself. Exactly means it must be the same contact, not just the same name.

After the corrections are made go back to the Musical Works tab on the deal and be sure no works are still invalid.
