Switch to payment service provider Adyen, bug fixing

In the night of June 30 on July 1st we had a big release moment; we switched from payment service provider. All features that came with it are included in this release note. We also did some standard maintenance by fixing a nice list of bugs. Read on!

Switch to payment service provider Adyen

Since July 1st, payment are being handled by Adyen. An overview of what has changed:

  • To keep selling tickets tickets it is necessary to complete the KYC process. Start it on Settings - Account - KYC.

  • You can decide which payment methods you do or don't want to use in your ticket shops. Enable or disable them on Settings - Ticketing - Payment methods:

    • iDEAL

    • Creditcard (VISA, Masterard)

    • Sofort

    • Bancontact card and Payconiq by bancontact

  • Refund tickets directly from the backstage to the ticket buyer via Ticket management.

  • Set up a variable fee per ticket type. It's a percentage based on the ticket type and will be added as a service fee on top of the ticket price. This variable fee is also visible in the feed.

  • Set a scheduled payout to weekly or monthly. You can also payout manually, whenever you want.

  • Download invoices from the Stager backstage under Settings - Account - Billing.

  • Check your deal and plan price in the Stager backstage under Settings - Account - My plan.

  • Find more info on orders that are processed by Adyen on the tab Transactions on order, which can be found next to Tickets on order under the Order page.

  • Invoices are different now; there are two kind of invoices, an invoice for your plan price and a receipt with costs for payouts and per payment methods for ticket sales and refunds.

  • Removed:

    • The order fee

    • The bulk refund page does no longer support donations

    • The option 'rebooking', when refunding manually

All changes are described in the help center articles concerning the subject.

Improvements

  • The order of ticket types on the ticket tab is the same as set in Settings - ticketing - ticket types.

  • The 'soldOut' status in the feed is false when there are still promo tickets for sale. Sold Out appears when all regular tickets and all promo tickets are sold out.

Bugs

  • 'Modified between' and 'Created between' fields in Contacts - Search advanced only showed contacts 'modified between'.

  • Also in Contacts - Search Advanced the Events not visited option wouldn't load.

  • Dashboard didn't load when a user didn't have modify permissions for planning.

  • Door sales didn't show available tickets anymore.

  • On sale status of an event could be online while the event status wasn't 'Confirmed'.

  • The search bar on the Orders page couldn't handle white space. It would give back an ugly error page instead of just searching without spaces.

  • Clarified the text on buttons and in dialog when deleting a mail template.

  • Blocked guest tickets were counted as sold tickets in the Guest statistics overview on the Guests page.

  • It wasn't possible to delete an email theme that was used sometime in a past mailing.

  • Restoring a deleted contact from the Trash can would lead to an empty page.
