Show advancing tool, localized tickets, locked tickets and the final unsubscribe

Lots of work on improving the newly released production planning tools during last month. Next to that our development team has been working on the last cherry on top of the production planning cake: Advancing.

In the meantime, behind the scenes, we have executed major updates on how we handle dates and times and how we build up all pages in Stager. Also the way events are created using the Event templates functionality has been completely rewritten. This might have resulted in a few more bugs than usual that we have of course killed ASAP.

Features

  • In the Planning section a new menu item has appeared: Advancing. Here you can create forms with questions in order to retrieve information from external parties like booking agents, artists, etc. And you can get an overview of all information that has been retrieved that you can use to produce the event.   • Contacts that have no opt-ins and who do not want to be mailed anymore are able to unsubscribe themselves from all mailings. They will be automatically filtered out for all mailings sent by Stager.

Improvements

  • The Ticket types formerly known as ‘Promo’ are now renamed into ‘Locked’ tickets. You can still unlock these tickets using a generic code but since we have introduced Promo campaigns (for discounts) the naming was found confusing.

  • Text on the tickets is now localized and based on the language setting of the ticket buyer, so if you have purchased your ticket in the Dutch version of the ticketshop, you will receive a ticket with Dutch text.

  • We have updated the notifications in the Waiting room, for example if a ticket buyer is shopping in multiple tabs or if the connection is lost and the user is placed back in the waiting room.

  • When you create an event in the same space at the same time or assign a shift to someone who is already scheduled to work at the same time, you will get a nice overlap notification popup.

Bugs

  • In Sales insights the number of visitors expected was not shown if the number of expected visitors was lower than the available amount of tickets.

  • It was temporarily not possible to upload documents to the Publicity tab.

  • Adding new contracts to the Contacts topic of a Program item was not possible if you used Safari.

  • Some deleted ticket types were shown in the new version of Event templates and the Ticket details of ticket types in Event templates gave an error.

  • If you adjusted the font in your Ticketshop settings the Save bar was not triggered, so you could not save the new font.

  • We have introduced icons in our mailings for date, time, location of the event, but these icons looked huge in mails if you use Outlook.

  • Event types with the color setting ‘magenta’ were shown in regular ‘pink’… and ‘pink’ is not the same as ‘magenta’.

  • The sold out status in the JSON feed to connect to your website was temporarily wrong.

  • The information entered in the new Program tab was not very readable in the Summary tab. We have added the necessary enters to provide a better overview.

  • You can now remove the event End time from the tickets (via the Ticket design setting) but the End time was still shown on mobile tickets.
