Asian Totals

Betting with Asian Handicap total goals (also called 'Asian Total') is similar to over/under betting. However, in certain scenarios you get more for your money with Asian Total: receive 50% of your stake back if you 'half lose' or receive 50% of your winnings if you 'half win'.

Let's use match between Serbia and Ireland as an example:

Over 4.5 - Win

Under 4.5 - Loss

Over 4.75 - Half Win

When you play quarter market on Asian total, it means that your bet gets divided on two bets.

Example: you placed 10$ on Over 4.75, 5$ goes on Over 4.5 and the other 5$ goes on Over 5. Your first bet on Over 4.5 is a win but your second bet Over 5 is voided/pushed. You only receive 50% of winnings in this case.

Under 4.75 - Half Loss

Let me explain why this is a half loss:

When you play quarter market on Asian total, it means that your bet gets divided on two bets.

Example: you placed 10$ on Under 4.75, 5$ goes on Under 4.5 and the other 5$ goes on Under 5. Your first bet on Under 4.5 is a loss and your second bet Under 5 is a void/pushed. You only receive 50% of your bet back.

Over 5 - Void

Asian handicap

Asian handicap betting is a form of betting on football in which teams are handicapped according to their form so that a stronger team must win by more goals for a punter betting on them to win.

The system originated in Indonesia and has gained popularity in the early 21st century. It is a form of spread betting. Handicaps typically range from one-quarter goal to several goals, in increments of half- or even quarter-goals.

Let's use match between Gibraltar and Norway as an example:

Norway -1.5 - Win

Norway -2.5 - Win

Gibraltar +2.5 - Loss

Norway -2.75 - Half Win

Same goes for Handicap as for Totals - your bet of 10$ goes two ways, first bet of 5$ goes to Norway -2.5 which is a win and the second bet of 5$ goes to Norway -3 which is a void because when you remove 3 goals from Norway they are left with 0 goals and the final score 0-0 which is a void/push.

Norway -3.25 - Half Lose

Bet of 10$ goes two ways, first bet of 5$ towards Norway -3 which means void/push and the second bet of 5$ goes to Norway -3.25 which is a losing one since that means Norway has -0.25 goals vs Gibraltar 0 goals.

Norway -3 - Void
