Anti-Theft mode is a Standard Fleet feature that can be enabled on your fleet's Tesla vehicles, designed to help fleet managers better secure their vehicle in the event of a suspected theft. Anti-Theft mode works by combining several Tesla features, such as speed limit mode and valet mode.

Anti-Theft mode enforces several restrictions on the vehicle by:

  • Disabling the driver's ability to turn off mobile access

  • Limiting the max speed to 45 mph

  • Tracking the vehicle more aggressively

  • Locking the glovebox

  • Limiting vehicle acceleration

You can enable or disable Anti-Theft mode for a vehicle in the web dashboard by:

  1. Clicking on a vehicle in the dashboard to expand details

  2. Selecting the button to Enable or Disable Anti-Theft Mode

  3. Confirming that you want to enforce Anti-Theft on the vehicle

You can enable or disable Anti-Theft mode for a vehicle in the iOS app by:

  1. Clicking on the vehicle to expand the details page

  2. Scrolling to the bottom and selecting "Security Settings"

  3. Toggle on or off the switch for "Anti-Theft Mode"

*Anti-Theft Mode does not lock down the vehicle or prevent theft. Anti-theft mode will make the car inconvenient to drive by adding a speed limit and enabling valet mode for cases where theft is suspected. It will only take effect after the car has been turned off and on.
