What Is Access Provisioning?

Access Provisioning is a feature offered by Standard Fleet that allows fleet managers to share app access to their vehicles with the ability to schedule invites and expirations. With access to the app, drivers are able to take advantage of the full Tesla experience. This includes checking vehicle info such as battery percentage, climate control that allows for remote heating or cooling, and more.

How Does Access Provisioning Work?

To use Access Provisioning, send the driver an invite to their phone number via the Standard Fleet web dashboard. You can get to the Access Provisioning menu by:

  1. Logging into your Standard Fleet web dashboard

  2. Selecting the vehicle that you want to share app access to

  3. Selecting the option to "Add New Driver"

  4. Choosing a phone number, start time, and end time for app access

Additionally, the fleet manager can specify when the invite is sent and when it expires. By scheduling the expiration, the fleet manager can ensure that the driver does not have access to the app for an extended period of time in excess of what is deemed acceptable.

Benefits Of Access Provisioning

Access Provisioning allows fleet managers to efficiently and securely control access to the vehicles in their fleet. It ensures that each driver only has access to the Tesla app for the expected duration, which improves safety and accountability. These features play an important role in maximizing the Tesla experience!
