On Standard Metrics, companies in a firm's portfolio will be marked with one of three statuses: online, pending, or offline. This is a brief explanation of the meaning and differences between each of these statuses.

ONLINE

Meaning

  • Have logged in to Standard Metrics before, thus claiming their own instance of the platform.

How did they become this way?

  • They received an invitation from an investor and accepted it.

    • If they were already online when the firm onboarded, the Standard Metrics team sent them an invitation to connect to the firm. Once they accepted that invitation, their existing instance was brought into the firm's portfolio.

      OR

    • If we they were not online when the firm onboarded, then the firm sent them an invitation and they logged in, claiming their instance.

Can the company be sent an information request?

  • Yes.

PENDING

Meaning

  • Have been sent an invitation to Standard Metrics, but have not yet logged in.

How did they become this way?

  • They were not online when the firm onboarded. We sent them an invitation, but they have yet to login or claim their instance.
    OR

  • They were online when the firm onboarded. We sent them a connection request, but they haven't accepted it yet.

Can the company be sent an information request?

  • Yes, if they were previously offline. Either the sending of the request made them pending, or we sent them an invitation from the platform before we sent the information request.
    โ€‹

  • No, if they were previously online. In this case, they need to accept the connection request first. Sending the request before they accepted the connection request would create a duplicate instance of the company on Standard Metrics, causing confusion.

OFFLINE

Meaning

  • The company was created on the platform, but they have not been sent an invitation to Standard Metrics.

How did they become this way?

  • They were manually added from the portfolio dashboard, or imported by the Standard Metrics team.

Can the company be sent an information request?

  • They can. This would change the company from offline to pending (e.g. the company users would receive an invitation). Then, once they log in the company would change to online.
