Usage

A customer's default payment method is used to determine whether the customer is required to enter a CC in the customer app before ordering (if "card", yes), what payment method to use for automatic payment when an order is made ready, and what payment method to default to on the order payment modal.

Defaults

By default, all new customers that register in the app are set to card, but you can change this default under Settings > App. Customers added via the POS are set to the method selected on entry.

Updating the customer's payment method:

On the customer account page you can control the customer's payment method and payment type under the Billing tab and Billing Type heading:

Payment Methods:

None - The default method for app customers until a credit card is entered. App customers will not be able to place an order until their payment method is changed.

Card (Credit Card) - The default for app customers that have entered a credit card. Card customers will be charged to their credit card when they are billed.

POS - The default method for POS integration customers. These customers will not be required to enter a credit card when placing an order in the app. It is assumed that these customers will be charged on the cleaner's Point of Sale.

Cash - These customers will not be required to enter a credit card when placing an order in the app. Their transaction will be recorded as cash.

Check - These customers will not be required to enter a credit card when placing an order in the app. Their transaction will be recorded as check.
