"Due Date" is the day a service is expected to be complete by the production staff.

"Delivery Date" is the date you are planning to deliver an order back to the customer.

If you look in setup -> services you'll see a due days for a given item. So for example if you have a shirt with a 1 day due date, and a wedding dress with a 7 day due date, and you detailed both items to an order at the same time, the shirt would be due the next day, where as the dress would be due in 7 days.

If for example that order was scheduled to be delivered 4 days later, you would see a warning that items on this order are due back after the order is scheduled to be delivered.

When detailing an order you can manually adjust the due date based via the drop down in the due field.

Note that when calculating due dates, the production turnaround calculation will take into account the store's hours and closed days.

On the other hand when calculating delivery turnaround the system will not consider the store's hours and closed days. If you need a Friday pickup to take into account a Sunday closed day, for instance, we recommend setting the turnaround time on the Friday schedule (only) to an extra day.
