If you need to take a partial payment from a customer, you can do so by selecting a payment method and then adjusting the value in the tendered field. You can also use the split option to specify two payment methods and the amount to be taken in via each.

To double check that a partial payment went through, you can check the customers account page -> transactions tab. You can also refund a partial payment here.

If you need to revert a partial payment, you can do so from the orders full detail page -> drop down in the top right -> revert transaction -> select transaction to revert.
