If you try to create a new customer account in Starchup and get the error that the email address is already in use, you can use the following workaround:

When entering the email address into the Starchup system, add a + sign followed by a string of numbers or letters before the @ sign in the email address. For example, if the customer's email address is customer@example.com, you could enter something like customer+1@example.com, customer+starchup@example.com, or customer+duplicate@example.com.

This will create a unique email address that will be forwarded to the original customer@example.com address, and the customer will still receive all their email receipts and invoices as usual.
