Payouts usually arrive within the expected window, but occasionally they take a little longer. Here's how to figure out what's happening and what to do about it.
What are the expected payout timelines?
How long a payout takes depends on your location and your payout history:
U.S. GMs: 2β3 business days after initiating a payout
GMs outside the U.S.: 7β11 business days
Your very first payout ever: 5β7 business days
π Business days do not include weekends or public holidays. If you initiated a payout on a Friday, the clock starts the following Monday.
What should I do if my payout is delayed?
Most delayed payouts have a simple cause you can resolve yourself.
1. Confirm your bank account details are correct in Stripe
The most common cause of a delayed or failed payout is incorrect banking information.

Go to your Payouts page and verify:
The bank account number and routing number are accurate
The account is active and able to receive ACH transfers
The name on the bank account matches the name on your Stripe account
If anything looks off, update your bank account details. Stripe will automatically retry the payout. See How Do I Add My Bank Account as a GM? for steps.

2. Is this your first-ever payout?
Your first payout takes 5β7 business days, longer than all future payouts. If it has been fewer than 7 business days, it is most likely still in transit and will arrive soon.

3. Did you use Instant Payout?
Instant Payouts can fail silently in some situations. Common reasons include:
Your bank is not on Stripe's supported banks list
You have already done an Instant Payout today (limit: once per day)
Your Stripe account is not yet fully verified
If your Instant Payout failed, a Standard Payout is always available as a no-fee alternative and typically settles within 2β3 business days for U.S. GMs.

4. Did you initiate the payout over a weekend or holiday?
Payouts initiated on weekends or public holidays don't begin processing until the next business day. Add those days to the expected timeline.
