Set Up Your Proofreader Profile

As a proofreader, you want to put your best foot forward when finding new reporter clients. That starts with your Stenovate profile.

Updated over a week ago

Your Stenovate profile serves as your introduction and your first impression to the Stenovate community. Before advertising your services on the job board or responding to reporters' posts for help, be sure to complete your profile.

When you sign into Stenovate, you are automatically directed to your My Work page. In the top right corner, you'll see a circle with your profile picture. If you haven't worked on your profile yet, you will see your initials. Click on the circle and select View Profile.

Once you are on your profile page, you will notice the pencil icons in the top right corner of each section. You will click on the pencils to complete your profile.

In the About section, this is where you will introduce yourself to the Stenovate community. You can use this section to tell us about your training, experience, and any specialties that make you stand out. Some people like to tell you about their family and their hobbies. This is YOUR PROFILE and we encourage you to complete it however you like!

On the left side of your profile, this is where you add your photo. If you hover your mouse over your current photo or initials, the option to update pops up. Click on Update and this will open your file manager for you to browse your photos.

Proofreaders don't typically have a preference sheet; however, be sure to create a rate sheet and upload it to the section that says Rate Sheet. Feel free to be creative with your rate sheet or straight to the point.

Once your profile is complete, you are ready to advertise your proofreading services on the proofreading job board!
