Back in 2017, our founders Sam and Sol, were studying at UCL when it became clear that earning money to support university life was an impossible challenge for most students. Balancing lectures, exams, coursework, societies and socials with ever-rising rents, cost of living and tuition fees felt impossible. The system was broken and students were missing out on everything that mattered.

Something needed to change…

So after approaching over 1,000 businesses and asking anyone who would give them the time of day about their staffing, an idea sparked.
​

Sam and Sol realised the way that the hospitality industry traditionally staff was flawed and students were uniquely placed to solve this problem.
​

So they took the leap. In 2018, Stint was born.
​

What began as a small group of uni students and grads helping people find short shifts over WhatsApp, soon snowballed into a groundbreaking app that has now connected over 250,000 people to hundreds of top brands in hospitality for flexible part-time work.

​Today, our mission remains the same, but with one difference:
