FAQ - How to Be Successful in the Expert Trader Course

Tips from our most successful students!

Updated over 12 months ago

💡 I just joined. What do I do now?

You can start by taking a look at our typical student journey.

The first big step is going through the course. Go at your own pace, take notes, and ask questions as they come up!

🕒 How long should I study every day?

There’s no perfect number, but we recommend 1–2 hours per day, 5–6 days a week. If your schedule is packed, start with 30 focused minutes a day. What matters most is consistency. You’re training your brain to see patterns — that takes repetition.

📚 What’s expected of me as a student?

To give yourself the best shot at success, aim to:

  • Watch the full course, in order

  • Attend coaching calls when possible (start with our beginner coaching call on Tuesdays!)

  • Practice in your SIM account

  • Ask questions (in Discord or in coaching calls)

  • Keep a journal of your trades and mistakes

  • Stay open-minded and patient with yourself

  • Stay consistent, fully apply yourself, and take advantage of all course resources

🛣️ How do I find time for the program?

Most students have jobs, families, and busy lives. If you can carve out even 30 minutes a day, you can make real progress. The key is building a routine — same time, same place — even if it’s short.

Some tips:

  • Block off study time on your calendar like an appointment

  • Use the Kajabi app to watch or listen videos during your commute or lunch

  • Avoid distractions — one focused hour is better than three scattered ones

🧠 I feel overwhelmed — what should I do?

You’re not alone. Trading is a brand new skill for most people — it’s completely normal to feel unsure at first. Take a breath and remind yourself: you don’t have to master this overnight.
Try this:

  • Scale back: Watch one lesson at a time and pause to take notes.

  • Ask for help: Post your question in Discord or join a call.

  • Remember your “why”: Why did you join this program? Keep that close.

🤐 I’m too shy or embarrassed to ask a question.

We get it — no one wants to feel “behind.” But asking questions is one of the fastest ways to improve. The students who ask for help early are usually the ones who make the most progress. The coaches want to help you — that’s what they’re here for. Everyone in our community was once a beginner, so they know exactly how you feel!

🧪 Should I be practicing with a SIM account?

Yes, absolutely. SIM trading is like a flight simulator for pilots — it’s where you build real skill, safely. Practice what you’re learning from the course and the coaching calls. Try to review your trades afterward — what went well, what didn’t, and what you’d do differently next time.

⏰ I’m falling behind. Is it too late to catch up?

Not at all. Everyone learns at their own pace. This isn’t about staying “on track” with others — it’s about staying committed to your own learning. If you’ve taken time off, just pick one lesson and start again. You don’t have to be perfect — just don’t give up.
