🔍 How do I search in Discord?

You can find almost anything by using the search bar at the top of Discord. Just type in a word or phrase and filter by channel, user, or date to get the most relevant results.

📌 What are pinned messages (and how do I find them)?

Pinned messages are important posts saved in each channel for quick access — think rules, links, or helpful tips.

To find them:

  1. Click on any channel

  2. Look for the 📌 pin icon in the top right corner

  3. Click it to view that channel’s pinned messages

Each channel has its own unique set!

🔕 How do I reduce notifications from Discord?

If you're getting too many pings, you're not alone — luckily it's easy to fix!

🎯 The quickest way is to change your Notification Settings so you only get tagged when your name is mentioned.

🎥 I can’t watch a video posted in Discord — what should I do?

Sometimes videos appear as thumbnails or previews in Discord. If clicking the image doesn’t work, try this tip:

Click the link (not the image) to open and play the video in your browser.

❓Where should I post questions?

Our Discord server is organized by topic to help you get answers quickly. When posting a question, pick the channel that best matches what you’re asking about — and don’t be shy! This is what the community is here for.

🤝 How should I interact with the community?

Our community is warm, welcoming, and helpful! In order to keep it that way we ask that you follow our Student Code of Conduct.

This means no unsolicited DMs to other community members, no harassment, no promotion or soliciting, and only posting trades that are your own. We're pretty strict about those guidelines to keep our community safe and ask that you follow them in order to keep your access to the community.
