This article explains how to copy existing Products and Unit Types from one site to other sites in Stora. This helps you set up new sites faster and keep your Products and Unit Types consistent across your multi‑site operation.
What copying Products and Unit Types does
Copying lets you reuse the same setup across multiple sites without recreating everything from scratch. You can:
Copy Products such as padlocks, boxes, or services from one site to another.
Copy Unit Types so your unit configuration matches across locations.
Copy to multiple sites in one go, which is especially useful when opening new sites or migrating an existing multi‑site business into Stora.
This helps you keep pricing and configuration aligned across sites while reducing setup time and manual errors.
How to copy a Product or Unit Type to other sites
You can copy from the detail screen or from the list view.
1. Go to your Site in the Stora Backoffice.
2. Open either the Products or Unit Types section.
3. Do one of the following:
From the list view, find the Product or Unit Type you want to copy and click … then select Copy to site.
Or, open the Product or Unit Type detail screen, click … and select Copy to site.
4. Select the sites you want to copy this item to. You can choose one or multiple sites.
💡 Use multi‑select to copy to several sites at once when rolling out a new Product across your portfolio.
5. Review the summary, including any sites where the Product or Unit Type already exists.
6. Click Copy to .. sites to copy.
After copying Products, review Advanced Checkout at each site to confirm which Unit Types each Product should be available on.
⚠️When you copy a Product to another site, Stora does not copy the Unit Types for which the Product is available in Advanced Checkout. Each site may sell the same Product across different Unit Types, so you will need to configure Product availability for each site.
When to use this
You might use copying when:
Opening a new site: Reuse your existing Products and Unit Types to match your current setup.
Migrating multiple sites into Stora: Mirror an existing configuration so your sites stay consistent.
Rolling out new Products: Add new Products (for example, padlocks or packaging bundles) to all or several sites at once.
Good to know
If a Product or Unit Type with the same name already exists at a target site, Stora shows this before you confirm, to help you avoid duplicates.
Copying includes key details such as names and prices, so you do not need to re‑enter them for each site.
You can repeat the process at any time if you add new sites or update your Products.
