Each unit has its own page to outline summary info such as current tenant, move in date, price, payment details, charges, history, etc.
The different unit states
Available: Unit is vacant and available for a new user to reserve or move-in. If no units of a specific unit type for a specific site are available, the unit type will show as "Sold out" in the Units Customer Portal.
Occupied: Unit is occupied & being rented by a customer.
Reserved: Unit is reserved by a customer, pending move-in (at which point it will become Occupied).
Blocked: Unit is blocked from being occupied or reserved (e.g. in the case a unit is closed for cleaning or maintenance).
This is the current price that is being charged for the unit per month. If the amount is different to the default price, the default price will be shown with a strikethrough to the right of the current price.
The default price will be overridden with the current price if the price of the unit type is different to the default price on the unit and the unit was booked via the Units Customer Portal.
The current price can also be updated manually by clicking on the pencil icon.
Once a unit is unassigned, the current price gets reset to the default price.
Similar to the current price, the current deposit will reflect the deposit amount being charged for the current user occupying or reserving the unit.
This works in the same way as the current price above and is also reset to the default deposit when a unit becomes unassigned.
Site access code
The site access code is the code assigned for the user occupying the unit to access the site in order to gain access to his / her rented unit. This can be inputted by clicking on the pencil icon on the top right of the Details section.
Once a unit becomes unassigned, the site access code gets cleared back to a blank value.
In the Units Customer Portal, the site access code will be visible to a logged in user when they click to view their rented units.
The name of the unit in alphanumeric format. This cannot be the same name as any other unit in the same site.
The site that the unit is assigned to.
The unit type associated with the unit.
The dimensions of the unit and the respective unit of measure (width x length x height).
The floor where the unit is located in the building
The feature(s) associated with the unit.
Edit a unit
To edit any of the details associated with a unit, click on the pencil icon in the top right corner of the Details section of the unit.
Assign a unit
Units will usually be assigned to a customer as part of a units order (i.e. a move-in) managed through the Unit orders tab. If you want to manually assign a unit to a customer, you can click on the Assign button as long as the unit is marked as Available.
Then choose the user that the unit should be assigned to and click Assign.
Note: If you manually assign a unit, make sure to set the Invoice date for the user to ensure that invoices are correctly generated.
Schedule a move-out
To move out a customer from a unit, click on the three dots on the top right of the unit page and click Schedule move-out.
In the pop-up, select the scheduled move-out date and click Submit.
Processing a move-out
If there is a move-out job scheduled, the move-out jobs will be shown on the unit page, unit orders page and the user page. It can be processed from any one of these places.
To confirm a move-out, click on the job and then select the new unit state (Available or Blocked) and confirm.
Block a unit
If you need to block a unit from being rented or reserved, click on the icon of the three dots on the top right of the page and select Block move-ins. A unit can be blocked only if it is an available / unassigned state.
In the pop-up, enter a reason for blocking the unit and click OK.
